Story behind the photo:

It's only 5:00 p.m. and I'm already at my destination. There’s time enough to explore the surroundings of the lake and look for the best place for a photo. Once that’s done, I’ll sit down in the grass and eat my dinner: sardines in tomato sauce. ‘Normal’ people eat their supper in mountain huts, but always just at the time when the light starts to become radiant.
As the wind dies down, the ochre coloured mountains reflect flawlessly in the tranquil lake: a ‘perflection’.

From a distance I hear the tinkling of cow bells. But apart from that, it’s perfectly still, no man in sight, not a breath of wind. The sun sets and colours the mountains a darker orange, almost gold. This is the balance I seek. This is what I’ve come to the mountains for. I release the shutter and realise that I love to eat sardines more than anything.
